Actress Bonnie Hunt born on September 22, 1961 is an American actress and comedian. Her screen appearances include Rain Man, Beethoven, Beethoven's 2nd, Jumanji, Jerry Maguire, The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. In animation, Hunt has voiced characters in A Bug's Life, Zootopia, and the Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story series. She has been featured in shows like Grand and Davis Rules, as well as creating, producing, and starring in The Building, Bonnie, and Life with Bonnie. She was the host of The Bonnie Hunt Show from 2008 to 2010. Early life Bonnie Lee Hunt was born September 22, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents were Robert Edward Hunt (1927-1981), an electrician, and Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak) (1925-2021). Her father was of Irish and Belgian ancestry, and her mother is of Polish descent. Her siblings include three older brothers: Patrick, Kevin, and Tom, as well as two older sisters, Cathy and Carol, and a younger sister, Mary. She attended Catholic schools, including Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago, working part-time as a nurse's aide. In 1982, Hunt worked as an oncology nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Two years later, in 1984, she co-founded a comedy troupe known as An Impulsive Thing. Hunt also joined Chicago's world-famous Second City, starting in 1986. In 1988, while working as a nurse, Hunt took a lunch break to audition for the role of waitress Sally Dibbs in Rain Man and was cast.
